Product description
This is a vintage pendant lamp by the German manufacturer Gebrüder Cosack, dating from the 1970s. The piece is a striking example of Space Age aesthetics, with a design reminiscent of a molecular structure.
The lamp is made of metal with a brass or gold-colored finish. The central body has four arms, each carrying a light source, providing multi-directional lighting. The dimensions of the fixture are approximately 19 cm in height and 16 cm in width. This design, often referred to as 'Gemini' or 'Atomic', is characteristic of that period's fascination with science and space travel.
The overall appearance of the lamp is in good vintage condition, with a character that matches its age. In 1 spot at the top, a small part of the paint is missing (see photos). The lamp is designed for use with mirrored light bulbs, which reflect the light and create an atmospheric, indirect effect.
This compact pendant lamp is ideal as accent lighting above a side table, in a hallway, or as part of a cluster in a larger space. It fits well within a Mid-Century Modern, eclectic, or vintage interior.
