A generously proportioned and exceptionally comfortable lounge set with a timeless, understated design. The chair features wide upholstered armrests, a supportive closed back, firm yet comfortable spring-core upholstery and solid dark-stained wooden feet.
Both the chair and ottoman are upholstered in genuine leather in a warm cognac-brown tone. The construction feels substantial and stable, with a level of craftsmanship that clearly sets it apart from lightweight contemporary furniture.
The leather has recently been carefully cleaned, conditioned and nourished. It is now beautifully supple again and shows an attractive, naturally developed patina.
The set originates from a penthouse apartment at Oranienplatz in Berlin.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition. The upholstery is firm, comfortable and retains its shape. The leather shows only light signs of previous use, including minor superficial scratches, creasing and natural variations in the surface. Please see the detailed photographs for an accurate impression of the condition.
