About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This vintage chandelier was designed by Italian designer Gaetano Sciolari. The piece features a sculptural chrome and brass structure, typical of 1970s Italian design aesthetics. Its multi-tiered silhouette and mix of metallic finishes make it a distinctive example of the Hollywood Regency style.
The fixture is composed of a metal structure with a silver chrome finish and golden brass accents. It has nine arms, each topped with a cylindrical shade of clear glass that diffuses the light. The multi-level design creates a play of light and reflections, adding a visual dimension to the space it occupies. This chandelier is a centerpiece that embodies the glamour and innovation of its era.
In good overall condition, this chandelier retains its structural integrity and original aesthetic appeal. The combination of polished chrome and brushed brass shows a patina consistent with its age, which adds to the character of the piece. The wiring is original and in working order.
This Sciolari chandelier is ideal for placement above a dining table, in an entrance hall, or in a living room. It fits perfectly into Mid-Century Modern, eclectic, or Hollywood Regency style interiors, where it brings a touch of timeless elegance and sophistication.
