Product description
This is a vintage Chinese table lamp, made from a traditional ceramic ginger jar with a celadon glaze. The most striking feature of the piece is the detailed, embossed dragon motif that wraps around the belly of the jar.
The lamp base is made of ceramic with a soft green, crackled celadon finish, which is typical for this type of pottery. The jar is mounted on a dark, octagonal wooden base that provides an elegant contrast to the light ceramic. The socket and harp holder are made of metal with a brass-colored finish, contributing to its classic appearance.
The overall condition of the lamp is good, consistent with its age. The crackle in the glaze is an intentional and characteristic feature of celadon and not a sign of damage. The wooden and metal parts show a slight patina that emphasizes the authenticity of the object.
This lamp is a refined addition to various interior styles, from classic to eclectic or Asian. The piece functions excellently as atmospheric lighting on a dresser, side table, or console.
