Private sellerProduct description
This is a vintage wooden chest of drawers, distinguished by its classic form and a contemporary, custom-painted finish. The piece merges traditional European design sensibilities with a modern aesthetic, resulting in a unique and characterful storage solution.
The chest is constructed from wood and features a traditional three-drawer configuration. Its design is defined by elegant details such as carved drawer fronts, a gracefully scalloped apron, and short cabriole legs. The body has been refinished in a soft, dusty pink colour. This is contrasted by the hardware; the top two drawers are fitted with vibrant yellow knobs, while the knobs on the bottom drawer are painted to match the chest's body.
Structurally sound and in good vintage condition, the piece has been intentionally updated to give it a new, distinctive personality. The painted finish is the primary feature, offering a fresh take on a classic silhouette. This chest provides ample storage across its three drawers, making it as practical as it is decorative.
With its blend of classic lines and bold colour choices, this chest of drawers is well-suited for an eclectic or contemporary interior. It can serve as a functional accent piece in a bedroom, children’s room, hallway, or living space, adding a touch of playful sophistication.
