Private sellerProduct description
This is a vintage ceramic wall plaque, a creation of the Belgian studio Perignem from the mid-20th century. The work is a representative example of the sculptural and brutalist approach to ceramics for which Perignem gained international recognition.
The artwork is made of ceramic and has a rectangular shape. The front features a vibrant, textured red glaze that serves as a background for an abstract, layered composition. This composition is executed in black and metallic glazes, creating striking depth and a tactile character. The sides are finished in matte black, accentuating the intense color use of the main surface. The Perignem logo is visible on the side.
The overall condition of the wall plaque is good, retaining its original colors and luster. The piece has an authentic appearance consistent with its age and brutalist aesthetic. The back is unfinished and equipped with a hanging system.
This ceramic Wall decoration is an expressive artwork that adds a powerful accent to an interior. It fits perfectly above a sideboard or as part of an art wall in a Mid-Century Modern, eclectic, or brutalist interior.
