A glazed ceramic vase made by the Spanish ceramist Thomas Buxó in the 1970s.
The piece features a glossy cobalt blue base, enhanced by a decoration of abstract drips in anthracite gray and black. The signature "BUXO" is incised on the base. A beautiful piece representative of Mid-Century art pottery.
In very good original condition. The glaze is glossy. Note a few small glaze losses due to firing bubbles, a perfectly normal phenomenon inherent to the handcrafted manufacturing process, as well as some very minor scratches in one localized area, consistent with the age and use of the object.
