Product description
Vintage container box in Italian glazed ceramic, attributable by style and workmanship to the Bitossi / Aldo Londi production of the 1960s-70s. The rectangular body features a black and grey glaze, while the lid is characterized by a sculptural handle and a particular shaded and textured, almost “lava” effect, around the handle. The number 627 is engraved on the bottom, likely referring to the shape or model number. The attribution to Bitossi / Aldo Londi is not documented by a factory mark and is therefore indicated as probable, not certain. Very good vintage condition, with normal minimal signs of age and no obvious breakage. Recommended category Decoration → Boxes / Decorative Objects Brand / Designer Bitossi / Aldo Londi — attributed Period Circa 1960–1979 Style Mid-Century Modern / Italian Modern Material Glazed ceramic Color Black / grey Condition Very good vintage condition Measurements 13.5 × 9.7 × 6.8 cm Weight 425 g
