Product description
This is a detailed decorative dog figurine by the brand Castagna, produced in Italy in 1988. The object depicts a West Highland White Terrier, also known as a Westie, and is a recognizable example of the handcrafted animal figures from the late twentieth century.
The figurine is crafted from a composite material, likely a form of resin or artificial stone, which has been hand-painted to realistically render the texture and color variations of the fur. The colors range from beige and brown to shades of gray, with a striking red bow as an accent. The original brand label is located on the underside, bearing the text 'Original by Castagna', 'Made in Italy', and the year 1988.
The object is in good condition commensurate with its age. The original painting and details have been well preserved, contributing to the authentic character of this collector's item.
This figurine is a charming addition to a collection of animal figures or serves as a decorative accent in a classic or country-style interior. It fits well on a bookshelf, sideboard, or side table.
