Product description
Antique cast iron heavy duty weighing scales with drop down mirror. The scales are more or less accurate and can hold up to 20 Stones. I am 83kg and when standing on them they show 14 stones. The metal has several layers of paint but they are clean and tidy. The original mirror has some foxing and is used for viewing from above when standing on it. Someone has re drawn in the numbers on the dial neatly. The glass front is missing. Presumably, they are for personal weighing as it mentioned on the front. Manufactured in the UK by Jaraso, 1910s ca. Dimensions Height 21cm Width 27cm Depth mirror closed 18cm Depth mirror open 34cm
