Product description
Charming decorative box made of natural carved and polished soapstone/steatite, depicting a stylized pumpkin with its lid. Possibly Asian work from the late 20th century, 1970s-1990s. The stone shows beautiful natural shades ranging from creamy beige to golden honey with brown veins and speckles, carefully polished surface. The bottom bears a partially erased engraving, including three strokes "III" accompanied by an almost entirely erased signature. Total height with lid 13cm, body height alone 9cm, max diameter approximately 14 to 15cm. Very good overall condition. Only a few slight superficial marks from time and use, discreet. Approximately 1kg.
