Product description
Beautiful vintage vase by Carstens Tönnieshof, a classic example of West German pottery from the 1960s or 70s. This specific model, marked 7493-22, is known as the 'Fossil' or 'Ammonite' vase due to the unique spiral relief patterns reminiscent of fossils. The vase is finished in a typical reddish-brown or terracotta-like glaze with dark accents, characteristic of the Mid-Century Modern or Brutalist style and often associated with the 'Fat Lava' movement. With a height of 22 cm, this is a sought-after collector's item for lovers of vintage interior decoration and West German ceramics.
