Product description
Beautiful large art ceramic hand-held candle holder from Poteries Maine in Sars-Poteries, signed on two sides of the base. Vintage from the 1950s-1970s. Beautiful sculptural shape with a wide flared base, generous handle, and high bulging neck ending in a trumpet-shaped opening. Very beautiful lustrous black enamel with green and pale turquoise drips flowing irregularly down the base. A small manufacturing hole is present near the base of the handle; the object cannot hold water.
19.7cm high, approximately 15cm max width with the handle, 12cm max diameter at the base. Very good overall condition, with an area of missing enamel on one side of the base, probably due to rubbing or old sanding, as well as a small firing defect on the bottom of the handle, both discreet. Approximately 700gr.
