Product description
For lovers of raw, characterful mid-century design: a handmade brutalist candle holder / mood lamp made of heavy studio ceramics. This unique art object dates from the 1970s and has a fantastic, nature-inspired organic design. The object is made of coarse, unglazed clay with deep textures and incised lines. The openwork holes on the front are accented with a thick, glossy white glaze, while the top is finished with a flowing green/yellow glaze reminiscent of a tree trunk or plant roots. A tea light or small candle can easily be placed through the large opening at the back, creating a beautiful, diffused light effect. The underside is unmarked, which testifies to an authentic piece of studio art craftsmanship. A great atmospheric piece that fits perfectly into a brutalist, retro, boho or eclectic interior!
