Product description
This vintage pedestal ashtray is a striking example of Brutalist design from the 1970s. The design combines a robust, industrial aesthetic with a functional form, resulting in a striking decorative object with a strong visual presence.
The frame is crafted from heavy wrought iron, constructed from interconnected metal rings that form a sturdy, textured column. The base consists of three protruding loops that provide stability. A thick, round glass ashtray with cutouts rests on top, fitting seamlessly into the wrought iron holder. The combination of the dark, raw metal and the clear glass creates a captivating contrast in materials.
The object is in good condition befitting its age, with the wrought iron having developed an authentic patina. The glass is intact and retains its clarity, contributing to the character of this vintage piece.
This pedestal ashtray is an excellent addition to an industrial or Brutalist interior. It functions not only as a practical object but also serves as a sculptural element that adds character to a seating area or smoking room.
