Product description
Exceptional vintage drinks set of green glass and patinated copper, attributed to the Finnish designer Nanny Still, circa 1960s. The set consists of an elegant decanter and six matching glasses. The deep green-blue glass is surrounded by a characteristic copper holder with round openings, causing the glass to protrude as decorative studs. The combination of glass and warm patinated copper gives the set a distinctly sculptural appearance. Similar versions are attributed to Nanny Still in the international design trade and are documented in various compositions, including sets with decanter and glasses. Because this specific example is unmarked, the attribution is stated with some deliberate caution. The set is in very good vintage condition. The decanter and five glasses have been preserved in particularly good condition with only minimal age-related signs of use. One of the six glasses has a chip on the rim. Over the years, the copper has developed a beautiful natural patina that has been deliberately preserved. Carefully selected vintage design. Professionally restored where necessary, with respect for the original design, craftsmanship, and materials used.
