A lovely Brentleigh ware Samara jug vase, dating from the 1940s. This jug was made in a wide range of colours and designs, making each one of the hand painted pieces special and unusual. This pitcher is in a sandy fawn matt, with a lovely stylised floral design in oranges and yellows, grey and black. The shape is very striking, with the large bulbous body and art deco-inspired spout and handle.
Condition: The vase is in good condition. No chips or cracks. There are places where there is small chips and discolouration of the paint, reflecting its age and decades of use.
Dimensions: The tallest point of the piece is 14cm, and it is approx 14cm long. Its diameter at the widest point is approx 13cm and the base is approx 6cm in diameter.
The lot will be carefully packed and sent by registered post with a track and trace number. It can also be collected from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
