About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
Sleek lines, powerful simplicity. This vintage BR03 sofa bed by Martin Visser for 't Spectrum is a paragon of Dutch modernism from the 1960s – designed in 1960 and still a beloved design icon today.
The sofa features a black steel frame with an understated, minimalist look and a clever function: the seat slides forward smoothly, transforming into a full-fledged bed. The design is clear and constructive, with clear influences from Visser's sources of inspiration, such as Gerrit Rietveld and Le Corbusier. The upholstery has been completely renewed in a deep green upholstery fabric with subtle white nuances. The padding, webbing, and armrests are also new, making the sofa bed not only an aesthetic statement but also comfortable and ready to use.
A rare combination of museum-quality design and everyday usability – for those who appreciate functional design with soul.
