Object by Parisian object designer Thomas Ballouhey from his final project "Ways of Altering" at the Design Academy Eindhoven. This bowl is a captivating creation that seamlessly merges aesthetic beauty with innovative design. Constructed from polystyrene, the bowl showcases Ballouhey's mastery in reimagining industrial products to resemble intriguing archaeological finds. Using a customized sandblaster, he applies a mesmerizing "glaze" of sand and glue, giving the bowl a raw and weathered appearance reminiscent of relics from a distant past. This thought-provoking transformation challenges conventional perceptions and invites viewers to contemplate an alternative narrative of history.
