About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a set of eight vintage napkin rings, produced by BODUM in the postmodern era of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The set is a remarkable example of the Memphis Design style, with designs attributed to the influential designers Nathalie du Pasquier and Ajumi Han.
Each of the eight rings in this collector's set presents a unique geometric and sculptural form, crafted from polished, silver-colored metal. The collection showcases the playful and bold aesthetic characteristic of the Memphis movement, making each ring a small work of art in itself. The set includes the rare "Uccello" model and comes complete in its original black boxes.
The napkin rings themselves are in very good condition, commensurate with their age, and have been polished to restore their original luster. The original packaging boxes are present and complete, but show age-related signs of wear, which contribute to the vintage character of the set.
This set is a distinctive addition to any Table accessories and appeals to collectors of postmodernism and design objects. The sculptural forms offer a sophisticated yet conversation-starting accent for a modern or eclectically designed table.
