This elegant double-bellied vase by Boch Frères Keramis is a beautiful example of European ceramics from the mid-twentieth century. The design, dating from around 1953, stands out due to its distinctive silhouette and the rich, deep blue color scheme that immediately catches the eye.
Crafted from high-quality faience, this object showcases the craftsmanship for which the Belgian manufacturer is known. The vase is decorated with refined, hand-painted floral motifs in vibrant shades of red, yellow, and green, which contrast beautifully with the cobalt blue background. The base features the original mark and the year 53, confirming its authenticity and provenance.
The object is in excellent condition, with the original luster and color brightness fully preserved. The vase displays characteristic signs of age befitting a carefully preserved vintage piece, without compromising its structural integrity.
This vase comes into its own perfectly in a classic or eclectic interior, where it can serve as a striking decorative element. It is a sophisticated addition to a sideboard or mantelpiece, and combines effortlessly with other ceramic collectibles or vintage finds.
