Product description
This is a vintage bench, crafted with a distinctive 'bobbin' or spool-shaped turned wooden frame. The design showcases traditional craftsmanship and a timeless aesthetic reminiscent of rural English and French furniture styles.
The bench's frame is entirely made of solid wood with a warm, brown finish. The seat is expertly hand-woven from natural rush, providing a sturdy yet comfortable surface. This combination of materials gives the piece an authentic and robust appearance. The construction is solid and representative of the furniture making from the period.
The bench is in good vintage condition, consistent with its age and use. The woodwork has developed a characteristic patina over the years, adding to the object's charm. The original woven seat is intact and functional, showing traces of a rich past.
With its modest size, this bobbin bench is a versatile piece of furniture. It functions excellently as seating in a hall or entrance, as a decorative element at the foot of a bed, or as extra seating in a living room with a rustic, classic, or eclectic interior.
