This is one for the design connaisseurs. This bench is designed by the renowned French industrial designer Roger Tallon, who did important design work for the TGV, but also many other innovative designs from the fifties until the nineties.
Tallon designed this 3-seat bench for Flambo, in 1962. It’s the same year he collaborated with Yves Klein, which might (or not?) explain the bright blue cushions.
The sides are finished with mahogany plywood and the back with an inox plate. The legs are chrome.
The bench is in its full original condition. Structurally sound and sturdy, with some cosmetic flaws due to its age (rust on the chrome legs, a few little chips on the plywood, few light stains on the seat) which are possible to fully and relatively easily restore, depending on your preference (showing its history vs. starting a brand new second life?), we leave that up to you.
