Product description
This vintage Blaupunkt radio, model Amazonas, is a characteristic example of mid-century audio furniture. The design combines the functionality of a high-quality radio with the aesthetics of a stylish wooden sideboard, making it a sought-after item for retro design enthusiasts. The casing is crafted from wood with a warm brown finish, resting on slender, tapered wooden legs typical of the 1960s. The front panel displays the original glass tuning dial with rotary and push buttons, accented by subtle metal details. A fold-out compartment offers additional storage space or the option to integrate a record player. The radio was manufactured in Germany and bears the distinctive Blaupunkt logo. The piece of furniture is in good condition commensurate with its age, retaining its authentic character. The wooden finish displays a natural patina, and the original controls are intact. This audio furniture looks excellent in a mid-century modern or eclectic interior. It functions not only as a striking decorative element but also offers a nostalgic addition to a living room or study.
