Vintage French black Vimar Paris crocodile print patent leather handbag from the 1960s.
A beautiful and traditional French bag by Vimar Paris in black crocodile patent leather with a high-gloss finish. The epitome of French elegance. Vimar Paris was a French premium brand that no longer exists. All Vimar bags are crafted to the highest quality standards and beautifully finished with premium materials such as calfskin and exotic leather, with a leather lining. Only the elite could afford a Vimar bag.
This bag features a "Vimar Paris Made in France" logo on the inside.
The handbag features Concertina sides that are turned off.
A fixed top handle.
The flap is made of black suede.
The interior of the bag is lined with genuine leather and grosgrain satin in the compartments.
Three compartments: Two zippered pockets and two slit pockets.
The front features a gold-plated metal "omega" closure with handle attachments.
Condition. The exterior of the leather is in excellent condition and shows minimal signs of wear. The gold-plated handle has slight discoloration. The interior of the bag shows clear signs of wear.
This mid-century Vimar handbag is 29 cm wide and 10 cm deep. With the handle, it is 36 cm high, and without the handle, it is 21 cm high.
