Beautiful vintage reading floor lamp from the 1970s, made of natural pine varnished in a warm honey tone.
Its design is distinguished by an ingenious mechanical adjustment made entirely of wood: adjustable height thanks to a slide on the stem and a swiveling head. Particularly original is its large ball joint made of turned wood pieces, with a transverse axis ending in two knobs, forming a mechanism that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional, and quite unusual.
The floor lamp rests on a wide, circular wooden base, ensuring good stability. It comes with an ecru fabric shade with a scalloped edge, diffusing a soft and warm light.
Its aesthetic, organic shapes, and woodwork evoke Scandinavian or Northern European designs from the 1970s.
An original vintage piece full of character, it will easily find its place in a 70s, Scandinavian, bohemian, or contemporary decor. Some signs of age and use are present, including stains, scratches, discoloration, scuffs, dents, and other marks.
