ProfessionalProduct description
Artemide Megaron Floor Lamp by Gianfranco Frattini
With the Megaron, Gianfranco Frattini created one of the most iconic floor lamps in Italian design for Artemide in 1979. To this day, it is considered a prime example of the combination of technical precision, minimalist design, and architectural presence.
The slender, vertical lamp body consists of two lacquered metal columns between which the light is evenly distributed outwards. This creates a pleasant, indirect lighting effect that softly illuminates the room while simultaneously emphasizing the lamp's sculptural form.
The reduced geometry and clean lines make the Megaron a timeless design classic. Whether in a living room, a gallery, or an office, it makes a striking architectural statement without being obtrusive.
With its uncompromising design language, the Artemide Megaron embodies the Artemide design philosophy and is one of the most important lamps of Italian modernism.
