The candlestick is in good condition and marked by Just. A. Just Andersen 1884-1943 was born in Godhavn on the island of Disko, located in western Greenland. His parents were an inspector and a probate officer in North Greenland. Just Andersen's creative gene was very obviously stimulated and developed during his childhood. Through his parents' business, he grew up with a world view and in contact with researchers and explorers who were later famous and recorded in the history of their exploration and record of Greenland, among them Robert Edwin Peary and Knud Rasmussen.
