Rare large round Art Deco box with a straight fluted body in enamelled ceramic called cloisonné des Faïenceries et Emaux de Longwy made around 1930. The lid is decorated with a beautiful bouquet of flowers on a cream background. The bottom has the characteristic cracked enamel of the manufacture of Longwy. The manufacture of Longwy has hundreds of years of tradition, but their golden age is clearly the Art Deco period from the 1920s to 1940s. A collector's item, very decorative, and in superb vintage condition.
