This Köln Easy Chair is a striking shell armchair produced by VEB Sitzmöbelwerke Waldheim in the 1960s. It is a rare design classic that immediately catches the eye with its distinctive organic shape and striking upholstery. The armchair has been completely reupholstered by a professional company in an old-rose fabric with a unique pattern. The seat rests on slender, black metal legs finished with silver-colored feet, creating an elegant contrast. The original manufacturer's label is still present on the underside, confirming the authenticity of this piece of furniture. The chair is in excellent condition thanks to the recent reupholstering. The construction is sturdy. There is a small sign of wear on one of the legs (see photo), ensuring that the character of this vintage design has been fully preserved. This armchair is a perfect addition to an eclectic or Mid-Century Modern interior. It comes into its own beautifully as a statement piece in a living room or reading nook, where it adds both comfort and a healthy dose of character.
