This vintage oak filing cabinet from the 1920s no longer fits in the office space after moving.
The notary cabinet has a characteristic mix of Art Deco and early industrial styles.
Quite special is the layout with four large file drawers and a smaller drawer at the top.
There are signs of wear on the top, but that is easy to sand down. The price has been adjusted downwards for this reason.
The cabinet is made of solid oak and testifies to traditional craftsmanship, visible in the handmade dovetail joints. With dimensions of 152 cm high, 43 cm wide and 71 cm deep, it offers considerable storage space.
The original metal fittings, including the cup handles and label holders, have developed a deep, dark patina over the years, contributing to its authentic appearance. Unfortunately, one metal drawer knob is missing.
Structurally, the cabinet is in solid and good condition, a testament to the robust construction of a century ago. The drawers function properly and the furniture has a lived-in character that suits its age. This piece is a functional addition to an office, study or living space and fits well within an industrial, vintage or eclectic interior.
