This beautiful sculptural coffee table made of tempered glass and aluminium was designed in the 1960s by German designer Knut Hesterberg for Ronald Schmitt. The table features a very elegant frame with four sculptural columns of solid aluminium, brushed and polished. Knut Hesterberg is a world-renowned German sculptor who began his career at the graphic art and design studio in Zurich, Switzerland. In the late 1960s, he designed sculptural table forms, particularly for Ronald Schmitt Eberbach and, to a very limited extent, for Bacher Tische in Renningen near Stuttgart, to bring art into people's daily lives. This coffee table is a high-quality, aerodynamically shaped piece that will make an impression in any setting and interior. The table is in very beautiful vintage condition, with some light signs of use here and there (including two small damages to the glass top, see photos). Dimensions: 100 cm diameter, 48 cm high.
