Sculpture Africaniste Vintage - Biscuit - Femme Assise Nue en pagne tenant un plat - France - 1950 - Non signé - H 25 cm x L 13 cm - Magnifique sculpture africaniste vintage, iconique des années 1950, figurant une jeune femme nue assise en porcelaine noire satinée tenant un plat. Very rare in this state of preservation, in very good vintage condition. A cookie is earthenware fired between 980 and 1,040°C without glaze, or soft or hard porcelain1, fired without glaze at high temperature (1,200 to 1,400°C). Bisque porcelain is used to make statuettes, table centrepieces, reductions of large statues, etc. The first cookie porcelain pieces were made in the mid-17th century at the Sèvres factory, to distinguish themselves from the polychrome productions of the Meissen factory. - Description : Sculpture - Africanist art - Material : Porcelain cookie - Year : 1950-1960 - Origin : France - Condition : Very good - Dimensions : 24 cm x 13 cm
