The figurine is by artist Elisabeth Vandeweghe.
Elisabeth Vandeweghe is a Belgian ceramist closely associated with the Perignem ceramics studio in Beernem.
This studio was founded in 1947 by her parents, Casimir and Rogeer Vandeweghe.
Elisabeth grew up in this creative environment and became an important force in the family business herself. Her work includes a wide range of ceramic art, such as ornamental vases, sculptures and wall decorations.
She is known for her artisanal craftsmanship and unique designs.
