Product description
Exceptional vintage table lamp dating from approximately the 1960s–1970s, featuring a large spherical shade in thick amber glass. The hand-blown style glass contains numerous air bubbles together with an unusual network of fine metallic filaments trapped inside the globe, creating a highly decorative abstract effect. When illuminated, the amber glass produces a beautiful warm golden light and dramatically highlights the bubbles and metallic inclusions. The globe rests on an elegant flared brushed-metal trumpet base, giving the lamp a distinctive Space Age / Mid-Century Modern character. A particularly unusual sculptural lamp that works equally well as a decorative object when switched off.
