Product description
This vintage wall lamp is an iconic design, attributed to Gio Ponti for Harvey Guzzini and produced by Meblo in the 1960s. The fixture embodies the progressive aesthetic of the Space Age era, where innovative materials and a striking silhouette come together in a timeless lighting object.
The lamp features a hemispherical shade made of gold-colored plastic, resting on a white metal wall plate. The partially translucent plexiglass ensures a warm, diffuse light distribution that illuminates the room in an atmospheric way. The original Meblo brand label is still subtly present on the edge of the shade, underscoring the authenticity and historical value of this European design piece.
The object is in good vintage condition, commensurate with its age and previous use. The original finish and characteristic patina have been preserved, allowing the piece to retain its authentic charm. The wiring and socket are intact and function properly.
This characterful fixture comes into its own perfectly in a Mid Century Modern or eclectic interior. As mood lighting in a hallway, living room, or bedroom, this wall lamp adds a refined, historical design element to the contemporary living space.
