Product description
This original sideboard from the 1960s impresses with its clean lines and high-quality craftsmanship. It was manufactured by PGH Raumgestaltung in Altenburg and bears the original manufacturer's label with the model designation S 649.
The body is made of spruce and beech and finished with elegant sapele veneer. The warm color and distinctive grain give the piece its authentic mid-century character.
Behind the two smooth-running sliding doors is a generous storage space with a continuous, height-adjustable shelf. This makes the sideboard ideal for storing dishes, books, records, or decorative accessories.
The slender, tapered legs emphasize the elegant lightness of the design.
The preserved manufacturer's label documents its origin and makes the piece particularly interesting for enthusiasts of original GDR design furniture.

The remaining wooden surfaces have been intensively cleaned and treated with specially purified linseed oil in combination with an odorless and residue-free hydrocarbon solvent. This method is recommended by restorers.
