About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This vintage brass scissors wall lamp was designed by Karl Lang for SIS Leuchten, Germany, is a striking blend of functionality and timeless design. Crafted in brass, it features an elegant extendable scissor arm that allows flexible positioning, making it both practical and visually appealing. The brass shade adds a warm, focused light, while the wall-mounted base—also in brass—houses a convenient integrated switch for easy operation.
Preserved in original, good vintage condition, this piece carries authentic character. The brass shows natural aging and patina, enhancing its mid-century charm, while the shade displays some marks consistent with its history. It uses an E14 socket and is delivered without a bulb, allowing you to customize the lighting ambiance to your preference. It was completely rewired.
Scissor lamps like this are highly versatile and remain relevant in modern interiors. Perfect as a bedside reading light, a functional desk alternative, or an accent in a living room, the adjustable arm provides targeted illumination without taking up floor space. Ideal for both vintage-inspired and contemporary settings, this Italian brass wall lamp offers a unique combination of style, history, and everyday usability.
