Product description
This is a decorative wall plate by Vincenzo Del Monaco, manufactured in Grottaglie, Italy. The plate showcases the craftsmanship and the rich ceramic tradition for which this region is known.
The object is made of ceramic and features refined, hand-painted decoration. A bird motif is central, surrounded by floral elements, while the scalloped edge is finished with geometric and floral patterns in shades of blue, green, yellow, and purple on a cream-colored background. The reverse is signed 'V. Del Monaco Grottaglie' and is fitted with a hanging wire.
The wall plate is in good condition commensurate with its age. The glaze displays characteristic craquelé that contributes to the authentic appearance of the piece.
This wall plate looks excellent in a classic or country interior. It can be presented on the wall as a standalone artwork or be part of a broader collection of decorative ceramics.
