Product description
This is a large wall plate by Vincenzo del Monaco, originating from the renowned ceramics town of Grottaglie in Italy. The object stands out due to its refined, hand-painted floral motifs and the characteristic scalloped rim, which give it an elegant and classic appearance. The plate is crafted from ceramic and features a cream-colored base with a striking crackle effect, contributing to its authentic look. The decorations are executed in subtle brown and purple tones, with accents of gold and ochre in the geometric patterns along the rim. The back is signed 'V. del Monaco Grottaglie' and features a metal hanging loop. The wall plate is in excellent condition, with the crackle glaze enhancing the intended aesthetic of the design. The colors are bright and the structure is completely intact. This decorative object looks stunning in a classic or country interior. It can serve as a striking centerpiece on a wall in a dining room, hallway, or living room, and pairs well with other ceramic artworks or antique furniture pieces.
