A fine 19th-century English Victorian saddle-seat desk chair, crafted from solid mahogany, dating to circa 1880. The chair features a curved, deep-buttoned upholstered backrest and wraparound arms, adorned with hand-tacked brass studs. The backrest and arms are supported by shaped back supports and turned arm supports. The chair rests on elegantly turned front legs and back-splayed cabriole legs, all connected by a curved stretcher, and retains its original solid porcelain castors.
