Product description
A magnificent, exceptional, very large vase. This is a hand-painted ceramic vase by Hubert Bequet, characterized by a deep brown marble "faux bois" finish, gold accents, and a detailed hand-painted medallion featuring a romantic Fragonard scene.
The word BELGIUM is stamped into the clay on the bottom (in mirror image/relief, with the letters "B-E-L-G-I-U-M" running from right to left), with the model number 286 underneath, indicating that this vase was made in the 1950s/60s. It is incredibly robust and in perfect condition.
