Incredible French expressionist composition under plexiglass depicting ocean pollution worldwide. The light areas represent the continents, the colored areas ocean pollution. A lacework of multicolored plastic patiently hand-cut from household product containers. Each piece is stapled to the next to form this astonishing world map. Dated: 2006. Frame dimensions: 122 x 80 cm. Purchased about fifteen years ago at the Paul Bert Market in Paris. I no longer know who the artist is; I have unfortunately lost the documentation concerning the work, I can't find any trace of it online, and the tenant of the stall where I bought it has changed. The plexiglass is in good overall condition with signs of age.
