Offered for sale: A rare and iconic design icon, the 'Phantom Chair', designed by the legendary Verner Panton in 1998 (his very last design year) for Innovation Randers. This multifunctional piece of furniture is a true chameleon and perfectly reflects Panton's Space Age pop art style. Depending on how you tilt the object, it transforms from a spacious armchair into a two-seater sofa, a low lounge chair, or a designer coffee/side table. This particular piece is finished in the most sought-after and iconic color: bright orange. Made of robust, through-and-through colored polypropylene.

Condition: Good vintage condition. The plastic has retained its deep, glossy color. There are some superficial scratches and scuff marks here and there, but exclusively on the ends/pivot points where the furniture touches the ground (completely normal and inherent to this tilting design). No cracks or deep structural damage. A beautiful collector's item that instantly adds atmosphere and character to any modern or vintage interior!
