This Murano glass vase is an example of the famous Sommerso technique, associated with designer Flavio Poli. Its sculptural and faceted shape captures light, highlighting the depth of color and Italian craftsmanship.
Made entirely of Murano glass, this piece uses the Sommerso technique to enclose a layer of cobalt blue glass within an outer layer of transparent glass. This process creates a striking chromatic effect and a sense of depth. With a height of approximately 22 cm, the vase features a thick square base that contrasts with the sinuous body and flared opening, typical of mid-century Italian design.
The vase is in excellent vintage condition, retaining its original brilliance and transparency. The quality of the glass and the integrity of the shape attest to careful preservation over time, making it a well-preserved collector's item.
