Product description
Elegant white Limoges porcelain soliflore vase, adorned with a painted decoration depicting a bird in flight among stems and foliage. Its pear-shaped body extends into a long, narrow neck with a flared rim. The cobalt blue and grey-green of the decoration stand out against the white enameled background, while two golden lines highlight the opening and the foot. The free and asymmetrical composition gives the whole a discreet Japonisme inspiration. The underside bears the handwritten inscription "Limoges", preceded by a signature or initials apparently starting with "M. F...", the full reading of which remains uncertain. In the absence of an identifiable manufacturer's mark, this piece remains unattributed. It appears to date from the second half of the 20th century. Height: 18 cm Width: 7 cm Depth: 7 cm Weight: 150 g Good general vintage condition. Wear and small localized losses of gilding, especially on the rim of the neck and around the foot, as well as friction marks under the base. This slender vase will naturally find its place on a console, a shelf or in a display cabinet dedicated to decorative porcelains.
