Product description
Superb miniature ceramic vase from the Art Deco period (circa 1927-1930), designed by the sought-after designer Émile Lombart for the prestigious Belgian manufacturer Cerabelga (formerly Céramique de Bruxelles).
This collector's item testifies to the great Belgian modernist savoir-faire of the interwar period. It features a rich, entirely hand-executed enameled decoration, juxtaposing geometric patterns and floral volutes in vibrant colors on an intense matte black background. The whole is enhanced by precious gold lines applied with a brush.
The original base has a complete marking: the shape number F. 65, the series decoration number D. 1104, the provenance "Belgium" as well as the manufacturer's signature "Cerabelga". It also features the handwritten initials "AB" traced in fine gold, corresponding to the personal signature of the master decorator of the Atelier d'Art responsible for its painting.
A refined work of art, highly sought after by collectors of European ceramics.
Features:
• Creator: Émile Lombart
• Manufacturer: Cerabelga (Belgium)
• Period: Circa 1928 (Art Deco Movement)
• Dimensions: Height 9 cm | Diameter 7 cm
• Condition: Splendid vintage condition. The enamel has remarkable freshness and the fine gold gilding is luminous.
