Product description
Decorative baluster-shaped terracotta vase, remarkable for its vibrant anise green glaze and finely crafted metal casing. The ovoid body is punctuated by interwoven metal bands, adorned with radiating cabochons and complemented by friezes of vegetal and geometric motifs. The silver-patinated metal contrasts with the bright, crackled surface of the vase. The interior, terracotta red, is protected by a layer of varnish. Its ornamental vocabulary evokes Moroccan craftsmanship and Arab-Moorish decors. In the absence of a signature or mark under the base, the workshop and precise dating cannot be established. Height: 24 cm. Width: 18 cm. Depth: 18 cm. Weight: 1.5 kg. Good general decorative condition. The surface shows slight marks and occasional abrasions, as well as generalized crazing of the glaze. The metal shows a patina, some tarnishing, and finish irregularities consistent with artisanal work.
