Exotic French ceramic vase from the 1980s with an animal design inspired by various pre-Columbian cultures. The design is reminiscent of artistic representations of pre-Columbian cultures, such as the Nazca, due to the use of the linear line and the stylized and minimalist way of representing the figures. The vase presents a drawing of what appear to be South American camelids (possibly llamas or alpacas), jaguars, turtles, elephants and armadillos, which are emblematic and recurrent animals in the art and iconography of various pre-Columbian cultures of the Andean region, with the exception of the elephant. It exhibits a globular silhouette with a prominent curved neck and a wide mouth, with a wide body at the top and narrow at the base. The neck and the animal design are colored in an intense russet tone, and the rest of the body is a soft cream.
