Product description
This ceramic vase was designed by Madeleine Brault for La Colombe during the 1950s. The piece exemplifies mid-century studio pottery, featuring a distinctive cylindrical form with an integrated loop handle. Crafted from ceramic, the vase displays a two-tone glaze application. The upper section is finished in a textured beige glaze, while the lower portion reveals the natural brown tone of the clay body. A dark, abstract glaze drip accents the transition between the two sections. The base bears the incised dove maker's mark of La Colombe. The vase remains in good condition, preserving its original structural integrity and surface finish. The glaze retains its intended texture and the maker's mark is clearly legible on the underside. This piece serves as a refined example of 1950s ceramic art, suitable for display on a console or shelving unit. Its earthy palette and organic form complement both mid-century modern and contemporary rustic interiors. Height: 20 cm Diameter: 8.5 cm Width: 14 cm
